Install Cabinets In The 5th Floor Basement

Every once in a while you get these fun job requests that are not the norm. In this recent situation we were asked to install cabinets in the 5th floor basement of a building that had cement walls. Our normal installation involves assembling and attaching cabinets to the wall studs in a garage. We had to get a bit creative here and create a false wall on top of the concrete. Our installer Mark placed furring strips along the wall and attached them with Tapcon concrete screws. Once he had that completed he was able to attach the cabinets to the walls and then use decorative legs in the front for support. And there you have it, cabinet storage 5 stories underground!
